Description

Sticky Sesame Cauliflower is a deliciously crispy, sweet, and spicy dish that elevates any meal. Perfect as an appetizer or main course, this recipe features tender cauliflower florets coated in a flavorful batter and tossed in a mouthwatering sesame sauce. The rich blend of sesame oil, soy sauce, fresh garlic, and ginger creates an irresistible taste that’s sure to impress. Plus, it’s easy to prepare in under an hour using simple ingredients.   • 1 medium Cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1/3 cup Rice flour
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder, optional
  • 1/31/4 cup Water
  • 1.5 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup Light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice apple vinegar
  • 12 tbsp Sriracha Sauce, adjust to taste
  • 1" Fresh ginger, finely minced
  • 45 cloves Fresh garlic, finely minced
  • 23 tbsp Honey or maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • Sesame seeds
  • Spring onions, sliced
  • Sliced Chillis

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, cornstarch, and garlic powder (if using). Gradually add water until you achieve a smooth batter.
  3. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter until evenly coated.
  4. Place the coated florets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and drizzle with oil. Bake for 25–30 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  5. While baking, mix sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, Sriracha sauce, minced ginger, minced garlic, and honey/maple syrup in another bowl.
  6. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine cornstarch and water until dissolved; then add to the sauce mixture and stir until thickened.
  7. Toss the baked cauliflower with the prepared sauce in a large mixing bowl.
  8. Serve hot garnished with sesame seeds, sliced spring onions, and sliced chilies.
