Instructions
- Cut the chicken or turkey bacon into small pieces and cook in a wide pot or skillet until crispy.
- Remove the bacon using a slotted spoon, leaving about three tablespoons of drippings in the skillet. Add olive oil if necessary.
- Stir in the canned green beans with their liquid and add a pinch of brown sugar.
- Cook uncovered over high heat until boiling, then reduce heat to medium-high, allowing gentle boiling for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, add the reserved bacon pieces and continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes until most liquid evaporates and the beans sizzle in drippings.
- Once browning appears at the bottom, remove from heat and serve hot.
