- 1 cup cooked long-grain rice
- 1.5 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 1 yellow onion, minced
- 3 cans tomato sauce
- 1 medium head green cabbage
- Fresh parsley and dill for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the cabbage by boiling it for about 5 minutes to soften the leaves.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, ground beef, egg, minced onion, parsley, garlic, salt, black pepper, dill weed, onion powder, and red chili flakes until well-mixed.
- Carefully peel off individual leaves from the boiled cabbage. Place about 2-3 tablespoons of the filling on each leaf and roll tightly.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread some tomato sauce in a baking dish, arrange rolls seam-side down, cover with more sauce, add water around the rolls, cover with foil and bake for about 135 minutes.
