  • 1 French Baguette
  • 4 slices turkey bacon (or chicken)
  • 1 1/2 cups roast turkey (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • Sargento Savory Garlic & Herb Jack Snack Bites
  • Sliced scallions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  2. Chop the turkey bacon into 1-inch pieces and cook in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. Slice the baguette into 1/3-inch thick pieces and arrange on a baking sheet, basting one side lightly with reserved bacon fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix chopped turkey with sun-dried tomatoes and spread evenly over each slice of bread.
  5. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour while stirring; then whisk in milk until smooth. Incorporate Sargento Snack Bites to create a creamy sauce.
  6. Pour sauce over each topped baguette slice and sprinkle with reserved turkey bacon.
