- 2 tbsp water
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¾ cup palm sugar
- 1 cup broth
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ½ tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, grated garlic, ginger, salt, white pepper, and water until well combined.
- Marinate chicken thighs in the mixture for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for deeper flavor).
- Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat. Remove chicken from marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- In a separate pot, combine reserved marinade with soy sauce, palm sugar, broth, apple cider vinegar, and cornstarch. Simmer while stirring until thickened.
