  • 10 tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp white pepper
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (grated)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (grated)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¾ cup palm sugar
  • 1 cup broth
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, grated garlic, ginger, salt, white pepper, and water until well combined.
  2. Marinate chicken thighs in the mixture for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for deeper flavor).
  3. Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat. Remove chicken from marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. In a separate pot, combine reserved marinade with soy sauce, palm sugar, broth, apple cider vinegar, and cornstarch. Simmer while stirring until thickened.
