  • 1 pound fresh salmon
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons butter (divided)

Instructions

  1. Remove salmon from the fridge and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Cut into four pieces and pat dry. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, ginger, chicken broth, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and cornstarch; whisk until smooth.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon skin-side down; cook for about 5 minutes. Flip salmon carefully and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add remaining butter to skillet and pour the glaze around salmon; allow it to bubble for about 20 seconds before removing from heat.
  5. Gently flip salmon to coat with glaze and serve hot.
