- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup beef broth
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 2 cups barbecue sauce
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon onion salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
Instructions
- In a large resealable plastic bag, combine Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, bay leaves, minced garlic, onion salt, pepper, and liquid smoke.
- Add brisket to the bag, seal tightly, and refrigerate overnight for optimal flavor.
- Transfer marinated brisket to the slow cooker and pour in beef broth. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until tender.
- After cooking, remove brisket and discard bay leaves. Mix one cup of cooking juices with barbecue sauce and return brisket to the slow cooker. Pour the sauce over it and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes.
