- 2 tablespoons fresh chives (finely chopped)
Instructions
- Boil the eggs by placing them in a saucepan covered with cold water. Bring to a rolling boil, then remove from heat and cover for 10 minutes.
- Prepare an ice bath. Transfer the eggs to the ice bath after the resting period and allow them to cool for at least 5 minutes.
- Peel the cooled eggs under running water for easier shell removal.
- Slice each egg in half lengthwise and scoop out the yolks into a bowl.
- Combine yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, and paprika; mix until smooth (add food coloring if desired).
- Fill a piping bag with the yolk mixture and pipe into the egg whites to create pumpkin shapes.
- Use a knife or toothpick to create ridges on top and garnish with chives as stems.
