- 12 ounces pasta
- 3 (5-ounce) lobster tails
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (1 smashed, 3 minced)
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (leaves stripped from stems)
- 2 tsp fresh basil (torn apart)
- Zest of half a medium lemon
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (more if you like spice)
- Kosher salt
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
- Using kitchen shears, carefully cut open the lobster tails and clean the meat.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the smashed garlic clove. Add the lobster tails, cooking until opaque (about 4-5 minutes). Remove from heat and chop into pieces.
- In the same pan, add minced garlic, thyme, basil, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes; cook for one minute until fragrant.
- Add the cooked pasta and reserved pasta water to the pan with the herb mixture. Stir in grated parmesan until well combined.
