Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 lb medium shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp by combining it with 1/3 of the honey garlic mixture in a sealable bag. Let it sit in the fridge for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add broccoli and cook until browned but still crisp, about 6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining sesame oil to the pan and cook marinated shrimp for about 2 minutes until pink.
  4. Stir in cornstarch mixed with reserved marinade, then return broccoli to the pan. Heat everything through and serve immediately over rice or noodles.
