- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 lb medium shrimp (peeled & deveined)
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Marinate the shrimp by combining it with 1/3 of the honey garlic mixture in a sealable bag. Let it sit in the fridge for at least 15 minutes.
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add broccoli and cook until browned but still crisp, about 6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add the remaining sesame oil to the pan and cook marinated shrimp for about 2 minutes until pink.
- Stir in cornstarch mixed with reserved marinade, then return broccoli to the pan. Heat everything through and serve immediately over rice or noodles.
