- Prepare crispy shallots: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry sliced shallots until golden brown (5–7 minutes). Drain on paper towels and season with Cajun seasoning.
- Cook green beans: Boil trimmed green beans in water for 3–4 minutes until bright green but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
- Make the creamy mushroom sauce: In the skillet, melt butter over medium heat; add mushrooms and garlic, sautéing until soft. Sprinkle flour over the mixture, stir for a minute, then gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth. Bring to a simmer.
