  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for filling)
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for swirl)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes until thickened. Mash slightly with a fork and let cool.
  2. In another bowl, mix cream cheese with sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the butter mixture until combined.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop dough onto the baking sheet and create wells in the center of each ball.
  7. Fill wells with cream cheese mixture and top with blueberry swirl; gently swirl together.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until edges are set.
