Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lbs sweet potatoes (peeled and cubed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/3 cup cream (or more as needed)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, add cubed sweet potatoes and cover with water.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, then reduce to medium-low. Cook uncovered until tender, about 10–15 minutes.
  3. Drain water, leaving sweet potatoes in the pot. Mash them using a potato masher or fork until smooth.
  4. Mix in melted butter, cream, maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined. Stir in Greek yogurt, adding more cream if necessary for desired consistency.
  5. Use a hand mixer to whip the mixture for about one minute until fluffy.
  6. Serve topped with cubed butter and chopped parsley.
