  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cut each chicken breast in half lengthwise to create cutlets, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and dredge lightly in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the coated chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan off the heat, add remaining butter, chicken broth, Dijon mustard, and honey. Return to medium heat and stir until combined.
  4. Add heavy cream to the sauce mixture. Once it starts bubbling, return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for about 5 minutes until cooked through.
